Production and Testing Capabilities
Liquid crystal-based smart films are produced with high precision in dust-free environments by roll-to-roll processes. The advanced production methods, purity of liquid crystal, quality of ITO-PET, optical polymers, or other organics used in the structure of PDLC films are the key factors that determine the performance of the films. TETA Glass Technologies produces PDLC smart films in the positive pressured 10K class cleanroom established within the ITOSB production site. In the production of PDLC film, TETA uses its own developed materials and manufacturing technologies. Advanced infrastructure and high-quality raw materials are the key elements of TETA smart films' superior homogeneous structure and high performance. New generation TETA PDLC films are produced using UV curing and lamination techniques. Having reached an annual capacity of 45000 m2 in the production of PDLC film in rolls, TETA continues its R&D studies with its expert researchers in the field of materials sciences to carry the performance of our products above its competitors worldwide.
TETA has the capability to laminate PDLC films with the float or curved glass by the EVA lamination line installed in the ITOSB facility. The production, processing, glass lamination, and performance tests of PDLC film are carried out in the same facility. PDLC films and laminated smart glasses produced are tested using the methods described in the ASTM 1003D standard.
